![]() ![]() "I got caught up in conversation, moving around the room like a social butterfly with an anxiety problem." Our female lead: Gianna Marino (previously Russo). I really enjoyed the setting she used for some pieces of Christian's past POV. The author notes that the book is broken into two parts the first 7 chapters are from the past and the remaining are happening during and shortly after The Sweetest Oblivion. You get to know more about them and why they are the way they are. Lori continues to write in a dual POV with Christian and Gianna having distinct voices. If you read The Sweetest Oblivion then this is pretty much on par with this.Ĭharacters are greatly written, have actual human personalities, issues, and traumas. I started writing this review when I finished it then while looking at my highlights and notes for things to write the review with I ended up reading it all over again, and I still have a lowkey book hangover. I just couldn't get enough of this couple, that's all. ![]() ![]() I just wished it was longer, tbh but the ending was satisfying. I'm just going to start off saying how much I enjoyed this book. ![]()
